I love the concept of this book and found Goodwin's writing amusing.  However, at times it was VERY over-written and also, many of the stories made goody-goody me very uncomfortable, almost scared.  There are too many books on my TBR pile that I am keen for at the moment.

I absolutely devoured this book, it was enjoyable and very readable. Having visited the area where the Servo was at the time, it was bizarre (but entirely believable!) to read about what went on each weekend.
I loved the insights into working at [redacted], I think it's very relatable and cathartic for anyone who has worked in retail!
The author's expetrience taking drugs were unexpected, but very well written. I felt the high and the comedown of the MDMA story, and the euphoria at the music festivals.
