Look I'm not into vore but I couldn't help but pick this up, that cover is too gorgeous, and I was not disappointed by the frankly stunning art inside either. Definitely some of the most gorgeous character art I've seen in a manga. That being said, if you can handle gore/uncomfortable situations, not being into vore will not at all effect your enjoyment of this. But be sure you're ready for a bit of a rough ride. This is one of those stories that tells you how it's going to end at the beginning and now you're on the (brutal) journey of getting there and I'm now so invested I just pre-ordered the second volume as soon as I finished this first one. Heed the content warnings, but those looking for a gruesome mystery with political intrigues of hell mixed in, this is your series.

A high schooler makes a deal with an archduke of hell where the high schooler will trade his soul for the right to eat the archduke until he's satisfied. Then, the archduke takes a liking to the high schooler and sets him on the path of becoming a powerful demon in his own right. There's sexual assault, rape, weird sex, and power dynamics at play as the main character fumbles to learn the rules of his new life.
If you're into stories where there's courtly intrigue, MCs falling into a whole new world, and weird sex scenes, I highly recommend this manga.

However, I feel like the story that was set up in chapter 1 didn't really follow through for the rest of the volume. And since I was more interested in the themes of chapter 1, it was a disappointment to see those themes get set aside for new ones. Specifically, the first chapter sees our human character grappling with the knowledge that his sexual preferences are abnormal and extreme and feels tortured by this. He doesn't want to hurt anyone, but his desires aren't compatible with that. Interesting stuff, in my opinion, and it's a very emotional chapter. But then he gets taken to hell, and all that stuff previously set up becomes a moot point because now all the kinks he wants ARE possible. His internal conflict is replaced by an external conflict of trying to survive his new situation and grow as a demon, which is interesting too but not what I came for.
I'll give it another volume, I suppose. See my content warning for more detail on the kink aspects of this. I'll note that while the content is heavily present, I personally did not find it disturbing because the art was more delicate than detailed but a friend who read it thought it was disgusting. Your mileage may vary, I guess,

To be absolutely clear, this is a manga about extreme sexual kinks that could not be practiced safely (or would be VERY difficult to do safely) in the real world. The human wants to cannibalize his sexual partners, penetrate wounds, etc. The demon tears the human's body apart, attaches his head on new bodies, removes his head and instructs another demon to f*ck the headless body while the human watches from his head, etc. There's also a xenophilia aspect (inhuman genital, etc.) Do not read if you are not prepared for extreme content. And while it seems very minor in the light of everything else going on, the human character is a high schooler, age unspecified.
