3.5 stars.

Personally would have preferred just one couples POV's as opposed to every couples, but overall it was a really nice story.

I don’t think I will every get enough of the Mackenzie family. I just love everything about these characters and love watching them live their lives.

This is you classic Mackenzie tale. It has funny moments, sweet moments and emotional moments. I love seeing the families grow and how the characters have grown every time we meet them again.

I could read a thousand books about this family and it still wouldn’t be enough.

Can’t wait to carry on with this series. ❤️

I love the Mackenzie men. Plain and simple. And I was excited - ecstatic - to read this novella and catch up with my favorite kilt clad men. My only problem with it is the many, many points of view. Every Mackenzie and every wife and a few more people. That's 11 or more view points. My favorite of which is always Ian. Love him with all my heart.

This was definitely The Perfect Gift for us Highland Pleasures fans this holiday. Thank you, Miz Ashley!

Domestics!!! All the domestics!!!! These were such fun little snippets from the Mackenzie Clan. I spend the book swooning over Ian and Beth of course.

A lovely story that checks in with each couple from the four previous books, introduces characters for the next books and also includes a little mystery too.

I wound up skimming most of this. I was just bored, not only because I'm not as familiar with the other Mackenzie couples as I am with Ian and Beth, but also because there was a lot of info-dump exposition throughout the story in an attempt to catch readers up on past events if they hadn't read the other books. That kind of telling-not-showing stuff is a snooze to me. Oh well...I liked the Ian/Beth parts pretty well, at least!

This is a cozy Christmas novella, suitable for those who have read the first four books of the series. There's very little cohesive plot, though it's the sort of book that can be very satisfying to anyone who wants to "check in" on the 4 Mackenzie brother who have all had their HEA. It's book 4.5, and is really best read after the first 4. It'll be heartwarming especially for fans of Ian, but also of Ian & Hart and their dynamics as brothers. I found Ian's neurospiciness here a little more forced even than in his book, which I think will be fine for those who loved his book.

All in all, a charming little read that'll land for the Mackenzie fans and has the feel of a longer extended epilogue.

It may not surprise you that i struggle with this style of novella, since we get neither plot nor real character development.
