Ok, let's be honest, this is five stars all for Theo! Celeste is great, but I was just here for a sweet and surprisingly spicy minotaur.

The narrator did a good job, but she wasn't my favorite. However, the story was so good that I didn't mind the narrator's higher voice (yes, that may be shallow, but I never claimed to be anything else).

I highly, highly recommend this book and I cannot wait to read all of Riley's books!

If you want a book that will have you feeling all the lovey dovey, sweet vibes then this is the book for you. Celeste is living in a world where humans are dwindling down and monsters are the majority. Due to the rarity of humans, they live in there own community where monsters can submit applications to meet and potentially marry
them. Celeste has never really been interested in dating a monster but decides to take a risk and look at her applications. A husky Minotaur catches her attention and says all the right things in his application but is it all really true? Theo wants a human to dote on, spoil, and care for. When he gets to meet Celeste he is so nervous and shy but slowly his personality comes through. Theo and Celeste make the sweetest couple. They compliment each other so well and I really believe they are meant to be. Theo is so sweet, bashful, and sincere. He is honestly a dream guy and I totally swooned over him. I loved how he became more and more sure of himself and confident. Celeste is outgoing, kind, and not afraid to go after what she wants. She surprised Theo with her forwardness but he loved the fact that he knows exactly how she feels. These two were so cute and wholesome but there was plenty of spicy action going on. This is a sweet, easy monster romance that will leave you with hearts in your eyes.

ARC Review

I thought this book was pretty cute. It was super cozy with quite a bit of spice. Theo was a shy guy Minotaur and Celeste was a blunt-ish human who decided to meet him as a potential husband. The characters had good chemistry and the world was interesting. I liked that there was a build up to full sex because of the size difference.
The world was unique; a world where humans are almost extinct and live on a reserve protected from monsters who often want to eat them. It was surprising how cozy it turned out to be with such a threatening world. Most of the monsters lived a pretty standard suburban life.
The story dragged a bit at the beginning, but picked up after about 20 pages.

Spice: 5/5

Triggers: mummy attack (short, not super violent)

I started this because i couldn't decide what i felt like reading but it was so cute i couldn't put it down.  Theo is such a sweet and thoughtful minotaur. And Celeste brought the best out in him as they got closer and worked through their fears together.

Very cute!! Who doesn't want a Theo to take care of them. And the dogs, bug and romona, are also some true MVPs.

This is my first by this author. But I will definitely be reading more by her.

I received an advance copy of this book and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Don’t come for me. The audio was less than 3 hours and I needed something to keep me up. I was zoned out most of the story.
