Kein Friede den Toten by Harlan Coben

Compared to other crime/detective novels I've read, this Harlan Coben book failed massively. I can't help but compare the sparse yet gripping writing in James Cain's "Double Indemnity," which I recently read, to Coben's bloated writing with incredibly ludicrous plot twists and find "The Innocent" sorely lacking. Not recommended.

Harlan Coben always keeps you guessing to the end!

The ending went from one absurdity to another. The wife was terrible but was played up as the victim.

I love anything by this author. I always know the ending of this type of book; except with Harlan Coben. He ALWAYS has a twist I never see coming. I've gotten at least four others hooked on his books.

Not a fan of the writing style: trite word choices, boring scenes, derogatory descriptions of women and 2nd person is annoying. This isn't a Choose Your Own Adventure.
