slow-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
- Strong character development? It's complicated
- Loveable characters? It's complicated
- Diverse cast of characters? No
- Flaws of characters a main focus? No

reread the whole series yesterday (last few chaps this morning) and i fucking love this series so much, i love all the characters, however i noticed while rereading how few chapters have mamura and suzumes relationship in, and how many are dedicate to suzume and shishio. But despite all that towards the end has such good pacing and still kept me on my toes even though i knew the endgame

“Once, you told me, 'You're like a daytime shooting star,' didn't you? It's a pity that I've never seen a shooting star in the day time, but... I feel like I've started to understand the meaning of it. Because I'm sure that... you're my daytime shooting star.”
Wow, there was so much spiciness in this volume, it made my heart extremely happy. Without spoiling too much, let's just say that we got some really nice confession scenes (more than one!), and I might've teared up just a tad from how much happiness I felt from the sheer sweetness. I really, really loved that scene with the raccoon suit (^.~). The art, while always looking absolutely S tier, was especially impressive this time around. Every character was so gorgeous, and breathtaking.
The extra chapter featuring the one-shot Cookie Girl, Cream Boy was absolutely adorable, and I kinda wish we could've had a whole volume (separate from Daytime Shooting Star) dedicated to them. They're a lot more interesting to read about than some of the other one volume one-shots I've read in the past lolol.

not only has shishio, a 24-year old grown-up man, feelings for his student, a 15-year old, but he also has the audacity of grabbing mamura by his tie after he called him out. this man is disgusting.
