Really good concept and they had really good chemistry but had several plot holes and other issues that made me uncomfortable.
If someone asks you to delete their nudes/videos y’all’re in together, it’s a dick move to not delete them. Ethan should have been allowed to be more upset about that. You don’t just get to keep people’s nudes because they’re “memories”.
Also they definitely did not deal with the fall out of a mayoral candidate’s sex tape being viewed by a Literal child like at all. Because that would have consequences.
In Ethan’s POV he says it was him “in the video” but when they watch it back on youtube later he says “in the sex tape”.
Her ankle was injured but at some point they just straight up stop mentioning it as if the problem went away when she outright says several times it wasn’t getting better and there may be lasting damage.

Moderate: Body shaming, Bullying, Death of parent, and Alcohol
Minor: Eating disorder, Emotional abuse, and Abandonment
- Body Shaming & Bullying: there are multiple comments made about Lexie’s body & the way that the townspeople stare at her. Many of them look down on her. Additionally her mother makes comments about her body & eating habits. - Death of a parent: Ethan’s mother died of cancer before the events of the book - Alcohol: Many of the characters have spiked eggnog, wine, and other alcoholic beverages. Ethan gets drunk several times, including the night of their vegas wedding. - Abandonment, Emotional Abuse, Eating Disorder: Lexie’s mother is fairly emotionally absent and at times very judgmental and rude to her daughter about her relationship(s). She makes many comments about her daughter’s body & what she eats; in Salt Springs Ethan notices that Lexie never finishes her food she has half of anything she orders at most.muddypages's review against another edition
