This was a fun read. I listened to it as an audiobook and was amused every time the reader would say "CIA redacted" when she couldn't mention something classified. It was a fun glimpse into a world I had dreamed about joining when I was younger but never did. I loved the ending as I saw a lot of similarities to my own life and the road it took me to get me to where it needed to go.
I did not love this.
The author came across both needy and perfect at the same time.
Some interesting stories, but a large number of sections where it grated on me.

AMAZING memoir. Walder’s story is an inspiration for girls and women. A must read for people who care about the U.S., the world, and waging peace.
Relatively informative on her life and the work done at both agencies, but I agree with other reviews. How did she get to such a high position a year into her career at the agency? Book was an easy read, but I felt her tone sometimes had an air of arrogance. I don't think her altered chart single handedly started the Iraq War as she says. Narrative was repetitive. When talking about feeling like an outsider, I wish she did some introspection and figure out perhaps that she could be the problem as to not being well-liked by peers or colleagues. Some details were kind of menial and could've been left out. I personally appreciated leaving the black redacted in- while frustrating at times, I felt it showed how many details are left out of the public.
The chapters about the FBI were super insightful and infuriating.
Overall, I'm glad I read it.

I really liked this USC sorority girl works for the CIA and FBI?! Super interesting and had some funny bits. Trying to read more nonfiction this year and this was the perfect start.
