I read the original a year or so ago and it astounded me with how beautiful it was.
The colours and illustrations in this version really bring it to life.

Beautiful story with beautiful messages within. Nice for both adults and children, or to read to children as well.

This 2022 edition is a beautiful adaptation from the animated story; I feel like I should get my hands on the original now. There are both explicit and implicit messages that run through this book which are powerful and important. The illustrations are captivating and the relationship between the word and the image conveys so much more meaning than each part alone.
This text is a classic example of picturebooks not being exclusive to a child readership. If you haven't read, please do. It's lovely.

Absolutely gorgeous illustrations! A book about "a journey in search of home," the characters we meet, and what we learn about ourselves along the way. Quick, impactful read. A great giftable for kiddos or grads, especially.
