I was pretty disappointed in this anthology to be honest. Despite all of the recommendations for this boom, I found most of the short stories to be boring. In fact, I can only recommend 4 of the 9 with only 1 being good enough to rate it over 3/5. The fact that the book doesn't start with any of these stories, but arguably the worst ones (You Go Where It Takes You, S.S, Wild Acres) would turn off many a reader.

While some of the stories are okay, there is a lot of disappointment in the endings of every single one. There is a pattern for the stories of a lot of build up only for the rising action / climax to happen on the last page. It's very unsatisfying.
