It was pretty good, although there are points where the suspension of disbelief is kind of ruined by the characters not noticing fairly obvious things.

Should you read it? I advise you to read all of Chapters 1 to 17, skip 18-20, read chapter 21, skip the rest and just google the ending. Ha! I still do recommend reading this though. If you want to know more about Van Helsing and the other characters who were lost in the re-interpretations and adaptations of this novel into other forms of media, then give this a try. Surprisingly, this isn't a tale of the world's most infamous vampire - its focus is on the consequences of his existence: how his victims lived through life after coinciding paths with the titular creature.

Also, alst but not the least, I really love Renfield. It's a shame Stoker did him like that.

The audible recording is wonderful.

I never knew Dracula was an epistolary novel. The form suits the story, so much more complex and with more characters than it is often distilled into. This is a great way to experience a “classic”
