Didn't want to like it, and didn't realize it was a trilogy beginning (why, gods, why can't books just be books!?!?!?!?), but stayed up pretty late not able to put it down. Review to come on teenreads.com

Took awhile to get into and relate to the characters, then it became a fast paced thriller for me. Wondering where the series will go...

Should never be put in the same category as Girl With the Dragon Tattoo or Bourne Identity. It comes nowhere near either, and if you expect it to you will be horribly disappointed (like me).

so much info dumping and while i understand that that needs to happen due to what the book is about and the things that characters do in the book, there was probably a better and more elegant way to do said info dump instead of just going by the "character does something: here's an entire sentence/paragraph explaining what exactly they are doing" formula. also, the characters had promise but the book never really managed to make me feel like they were three-dimensional characters.

Add this to your list of smartly written, fast paced dystopian teen fiction/thrillers (if you have such a list). This story of a teen hackers + government conspiracy + a mysterious deadly illness taking the lives of teens makes for a real page turner. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to both younger & older readers. The ending was a little less than satisfying (a sequel in the works perhaps?).
I won a copy of this book from GoodReads (yay! also, thanks Harper Collins).

Interesting story. Reminds me of Unwind by Neal Shusterman but more modern.
