2 and a half. Definitely not my kind of book--all these men falling for and pursuing the women in the book. I guess I'm too much of a realist! I kept hearing the voices of my children when we watch a movie and I complain that would never happen. They say, "It's a movie, Mom!" I kept saying, "It's fiction!!" anyway, this was book 2 in the Cedar Cove series. Our library doesn't have the first, so I read this one to see if I liked it. When I was hired at the library last year, this was one of the first books that a patron recommended to me. I have since learned that most patrons don't have my taste in books, but you never know till you try!

Book 2 in the lovely Cedar Cove series. Grace Sherman lives in 204 Rosewood Lane and most of the story centres around her. Her husband leaves suddenly and she is convinced there is another woman involved. Her youngest daughter is positive her father will come back while her oldest daughter, Maryellen, thinks along the same lines as her mum. In the town of Cedar Cove, Olivia Lockhart is still seeing Jack Griffin, who is jealous of Olivia's ex-husband, Stan. Their daughter, Justine, who recently married Seth, is pregnant. Grace's daughter Maryellen is also pregnant but won't share with her mother who the baby's father is. In another household, the Cox family are going through problems, with wife Rosie feeling that her husband Zach is taking her for granted. All in all, a lovely light read.

I picked up this book after reading The Shop on Blossom Street, to see if I just really liked the author or just that series. It really wasn't my type of book. While there were somewhat interesting plots, I had a really hard time keeping track of the characters and their involvement in the stories. Most of the stories reminded me of Lifetime movies and soap operas. I can handle that type of story if there's something else keeping me involved, but this didn't really have that for me. I don't plan on reading the rest of this series.

This is a cute series but i recommend you read the books close together as the books rely heavily upon the last one. The characters are great and very loveable. Makes you feel like you live there in cedar cove with them. A great light read with some mystery and romance intermingled together for a delightful entertaining read.

Still don't really care for the writing style. At times it is very hard to keep track of who is who and what is happening to who. Not really sure if I'm going to continue this series. I like some of the characters but find myself getting very confused during the books and having to stop and figure out what storyline I'm reading now. Would probably be better if each couple had a different book..

I really enjoyed the 2nd book in this series. I like catching up with familiar characters and getting to know the newest characters in this wonderful little town.
Lots of cliff hangers at the end of this book. I can hardly wait to see what happens in the next book!
