On an editorial level, this book needed someone to go through and toss out repetitive phrases and clarify some of the action. But overall I really enjoyed it. Great themes and character insights.

I got an advanced readers copy of this book, and figured I would give it a try. I'm not usually big into the whole zombie thing, but yay for free books!
To be honest, after the first chapter or so, I found myself rolling my eyes a bit. The plot reminded me of one of the video games that owned my boyfriend's soul for several months, The Last of Us. I'm glad I didn't give up on this book, though - once the character of Pascal was introduced, my inner hockey fan was hooked!
It took a bit for me to get into the story, but I'm glad I came across this book. I'm looking forward to the continuing story of Zen and his friends, and seeing how they overcome this spreading infection.
