I love Tui Sutherland. Unfortunately this series doesn't seem to have the same popularity as her Wings of Fire series, but it's still great. From dragons to krakens to wooly mammoths to kirins, every type of mystical creature that you could imagine is found in this series.

A lot of loose ends were tied up in this book which I was happy about. Everything was brought around full circle, but there was still just a flicker of an idea that could be another story. I do hope that a second series continues out of this.

An amazing finale to such a fun and magical trilogy! I loved seeing more mythical creatures and all the mysteries become solved along with a happy ending. One of my favorite middle grade series by far!

I love happy endings. I feel like this was the last in this series and I am so sad to see it end.

Bedtime read-aloud with L. Took us a long time due to summer fun, but we are sad to have finished this charming series.
