Hilariously wicked. Definitely lives up to it’s name. My favorite was Jack and Jill. I found the illustrations to be quirky and full fun details.
Thank you Gris Grimly

1. No awards
2. Grade 2-8
3. This set of nursery rhymes differs from traditional books. Gris Grimly twists classic rhymes into dark and sinister tales. He challenges the usual perception of these classic nursery rhymes.
4. These nursery rhymes are great. It is a fun twist on the traditional children's rhymes and makes them more accessible as children grow older. As children age, they like to delve into darker types of stories and this is a great example of that, a way for them to connect a dark side to something they've known.
5. This book is a great example for a writing workshop. Students can learn how to turn a basic story into something more sinister, with a darker twist. It can also be used as a chilling read aloud.

Love the Father Grim illustration. All the rhymes are twisted and warped in a wonderfully wicked way. Teens will appreciate the dark parody and the illustrations.

Dark, dark, dark.

Yet fascinating.

These are the nursery rhymes that will keep you up at night.

I'm going to look for Gris Grimly's other books.

I love Gris Grimly's illustrations. Part quirky, part macabre. Pure wonderful. Wicked Nursery Rhymes II is not necessarily for young children but older children and adults will enjoy these fractured versions of the original.

Another wonderfully creepy and twisted version of children's rhymes to read to your little monster.
