Incredibly inspiring and thought provoking. But oh so very sad.

He was frail but not weak. How Paul’s wife Lucy described him and I think it’s a completely accurate summation of the man.

While I found Paul’s writing to be a little amorphous and philosophical, his wife’s epilogue was so powerful and made such an impact.

I would have loved to have known Paul as a neurosurgeon and a writer and this book seems to be an embodiment of his life.

Beautifully written novel by a neurosurgeon diagnosed with terminal cancer and his perspective on the meaning of life while facing death. I would read a section of this book, and then would need time to reflect before picking up the book again.

I must say. Paul's part ends on a very somber note. And then Lucy starts to talk at its a heartbreaking gut punch.
