This has been on my bookshelf for far too long. I discovered it when going through my shelves to downsize. I'm glad I took the time out to read it - it's a very touching coming-of-age account of loss and loneliness.

He thought of the feeling he had had so often - the knowing there was life and purpose in every breath of wind and every wisp of spray and that he was caught up in it too. This was what the albatross had shown him, but he was not ready to talk about that yet.

A beautiful book.
