I received an e-ARC from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review. Review along with more ARC reviews can be found on *Milky Way of Books*
Holy wow! What can I say about the action and the amazing story! Even weeks after devouring this book I still want to immerse myself in this amazing world Jeaniene Frost made! I loved her mythological references, especially the greek ones, how Ian and Veritas were glorious together both as a couple and in the cases they went on murdering their enemies mode :P
I would like to see another series too, featuring Marie and Assael this time. I think there is a backstory here and that demon is also a very interesting character!
I couldn't have read a better ending to this series! And you are all in for many surpirses when this is released! ;)
And if you haven't read the series yet please do!

I received an ARC from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.
Wicked All Night is the final book in the Night Rebel series. I'm pretty sure the author has confirmed this is the final Ian and Veritas book? This review will contain spoilers from Shades of Wicked and Wicked Bite.
At the end of Wicked Bite, Veritas finally unleashed her powers during that final battle against Dagon. But Veritas's actions have unexpected consequences on the netherworld and now Ian and Veritas have to fight ancient deities who wish to take over the mortal world.
My absolute favourite part about Wicked All Night is the character interactions. If you're a fan of the Night Huntress Universe like I am, then you are in for a treat. The original gang is back together in this book and they're all teamed up to stop yet another apocalypse: we have Cat, Bones, Mencheres, Denise, Spade, Vlad, and even Marie. They don't all appear during the final battle, but most of them are there for the planning and negotiating processes. I love these characters SO DAMN MUCH and I live for every single one of their interactions. Cat and Bones managed to give me SO MANY FEELS even though this isn't even their book! As for Veritas and Ian, I LOVE them. There is a bit of relationship development in this book that further solidifies their love for each other. Plus, we get some more interactions between Veritas and her biological father, which was great.
The plot in Wicked All Night is intense, but I would argue that it's not as intense as the previous two books. The ancient deities are the main villains here, but they aren't as scary and rage-inducing as Dagon. At times, the deities almost feel like caricatures. They do have extraordinary powers though and that's why Ian and Veritas spend a good portion of the book gathering allies to defeat the deities. Along the way, Veritas also has to face the vampire council and convince them to join the fight.
The final battle is great, but it also feels a bit anticlimactic. My favourite part is Vlad's epic entrance. He really livens things up during the climax. The battle itself is shorter than I expected it to be and it also ends quite abruptly. In my opinion, an epilogue is desperately needed to completely wrap up this spin off series. I want to see Ian and Veritas domesticated. I also want to explore the consequences of the decisions made by the vampire council. There's room for more storytelling here. The author has not confirmed anything about any more books set in this world... But should she wish to continue writing in this world, some key events in this book definitely give her the space to do that. Meanwhile, I'll be cooking up some of my own theories 👀
P. S. There was one continuity error and perhaps even one minor plot hole. But this is an ARC that I'm reviewing, so the final copy might be different.

I love anything in this world! So happy that all the players were there for the finale. Of course it’s for the fans but a useful way to teach Veritas how to rely on other people. Also making her part of the family haha.
While I have seen other complaints about how suddenly everyone is so powerful I don’t see this as an issue. These books are so long lived now and it’s showing the evolution of these characters. How the choices they make, the partnerships and relationships they have had change their lives. Teamwork makes the dream work all that.
Only real complaint - I did not like the way the book just ended! Hope that means that we will get more :)

3.5 stars. A lot of action, it was nice to see the full cast of characters. I felt like it could have used an epilogue - especially if it is the last in the series.

For being a 4000-year-old law guardian, Veritas sure turned into a whiny, wimpy character. I listened to this as an audiobook and it could have been the narrator's voice but I kind of felt sorry for Ian.

Hmmmmmm, I'm convinced that this series isn't quite finished. And I'm basing this off how Wicked All Night ended, it just felt a bit too sudden and quite open-ended.
So while I did enjoy this, plus I'll forever love anything that Jeaniene writes, I enjoyed the first two books more. From the very beginning, things were definitely building up to the big fight in the end, but it didn't quite reach what I was hoping for. But don't get me wrong, there's still plenty of action to keep you on the edge of your seat.
And the utmost devotion between Veritas and Ian, I loved every single moment of it! I truly love these two together, so I soaked up every moment they had together.
Vladddddddd, my #1 favorite vampire makes his cameo and as expected, it's the best!
I'm not sure what's to come from this series/universe, but I hope we get to see Veritas and Ian in less life-threatening situations. Finally a chance for them to just be together without any interruptions. It may not have been my favorite from this series, I still very much enjoyed this and loved seeing others from this world.
Please give us more, Jeaniene, absolutely here for it!

Hello epic conclusion to this arc. I gotta say as much as this puts a cap on Ian and Veritas' story, all of these gods showing up and Veritas' brother (who I quite like) means lots of opportunity to expand this world more. I'd be here for it.
Ian and Veritas are determined to stop the end of the world as we know it. I adored how this brought so many of our old friends back in to help. The greater world series has introduced so many great characters so I love seeing them pop back up. This is pretty much go from the start even if things aren't headed in the direction Veritas might expect at first. And well Ian's not going to care one way or the other, he's going to be by her side hell or high water.
Great story that I hope leads to more in this world.
