I did really enjoy this as an audiobook reread--I maintain that this is a really strong second book in the series.

Wow! The second in this series might actually be better than the first and I thought that was amazing! So many layers and elements of the story. Never quite knowing which side a lot of the characters are on and why. All this while there is a game to play, a HUGE mystery to solve and her brother to save.
What an ending! What will happen?

All the stars and now I don't know how to wait for the next one!

It’s fun, imaginative, and oh so delightful. I love the way the characters (and world) continue to be developed. I do not like that it is quite a cliff hanger ending and I must now wait for book 3.

Star off because I got super bogged down in the middle (but let’s be real that very well might be a me thing and not a B B Alston thing).
