There's not a lot I can say plot wise with regard to this since it's the second in a duet. But when I had feelings after reading Reign Of A King, I still have feelings after reading Rise Of A Queen. I was on the edge of my seat throughout reading this and even then it didn't prepare me for some of the twists this book took. Daddy Jonathan and his alpha yummy and Aurora being delightfully human and real. The combination of these two was everything. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this. All opinions are my own.

I knew she wasn't wanna gonna have a mental illness and it was obvious that was someone was messing with her but I sort of wanted Rina to go down that route.

This book was so good!
Aurora being Alicia’s step-sister threw me off to the point of almost DNFing these two. But she’s such a strong indepedent character that I found it hard not to get to know her. She’s the only person who was able to soften a tyrant. And it’s through her, that you would also get to see a side of Alicia’s story - Brace yourself. I was mind-blown to the point of spewing OMGs in a lot of the chapters on the second book.

I don't know how rina Kent does this but the plot twists in her books are mind blowing. I loveddd how Aiden and Elsa, Levi and astrid were also a part of this story.

I LOVE THIS BOOK
“It’s also about how I’ll protect you from the world and yourself if I have to. It’s about burning your obstacles so you can leave the shadows and shine like you were always meant to. You can provoke or test me or even give me that fucking attitude, but you do not get to run away from me.”
The way Jonathan gave her the world & was willing to do anything to protect her from it too
