"Unfortunately it's the people we love the most who are often the ones who let us down the worst."

I always enjoy my time with Sarah Bennett's romance stories, and I often read them as soon as they are published. I enjoyed the first Juniper Meadows book when I read it last year, but somehow this sequel had completely slipped my radar. When I saw the ARC of the third book was available, I decided it was the perfect excuse to catch up with this series and read both books. The Cotswolds countryside makes for such a great setting and I loved returning to the estate and its characters. This author always does such a great job creating likeable and flawed characters, and I also loved the dogs in In From The Cold. There was a bit too much focus on the drama, which took away a bit of the charm of the romance... Although I admit that the story might have been too sweet without it. It was interesting to discover more about the Travers family dynamics and their secrets, and both Ben and Amelia made for great main characters. True, their connection does have a bit of that insta-love vibe going on, but I personally didn't mind too much because they fit each other well. The pace itself is fast and with the engaging writing style it's a quick and entertaining read overall. Perfect if you like your romances on the cleaner side with an idyllic English countryside setting and a dose of family drama to shake things up.
