L.L. Frost brings us crashing back into the story with Adie and her men in Destroyed: Succubus Hunted Part 5. Philip, an imp, has lost his life to the Hunters protecting Adie. She in turn almost loses hers, which would have made his sacrifice in vain. The plan went to the toilet, and now Adie has her suspicions about two who were in on the plan. Something isn’t right…and now she’ll have to be even more careful as her demons try to protect her and educate her at the same time.
Destroyed: Succubus Hunted Part 5 is fast paced and over before you know it! There is a steamy moment, but the author only teases us with that because nothing more comes of it. It’s heartbreaking for Adie having to cope with the loss of Philip, but I’m glad that it doesn’t truly break. But of course, danger is still lurking and it shows its face all too soon.
There isn’t anything that I don’t like about this book. It’s fast, intense, a bit heartbreaking, but still hopeful in the right areas. The characters are engaging and the author does an excellent job keeping me coming back for more.
I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. I’m eager to learn what happens next with Adie and her demons, as the author leaves me with question and suspense.
