Reads like a fanfiction short story with lots of grammar issues. But, the story itself is good. A haunting creature feature with two detectives, one undead and one not. Up to 50% into this book, I was hooked but then I found myself becoming bored and pushed myself to finish.

I lost count at how many times I rolled my eyes at the most dumbest comedy added in the story.

Still, I seen potential and plan to read Sandman Slim #1 later on this year to give Richard Kadrey a second read before setting my mind.
