Ford is a living hitman, and his partner Neuland is undead. When they fail to complete a job, they flee to California. When they reach California, they meet Tilda, who tells them that her great-grandfather wants them to kill a devil that lives in their old house. This was fun and often funny despite some typos and some cringe dialogue. There were also times when I got frustrated at Tilda. I am still looking forward to the sequel and reading more of Ford and Neuland's adventures.

This read like an episode of a fun and witty supernatural tv show.

And I mean that in a good way.

The dialogue was sharp and clever and moved the plot along smoothly. You don't get much introspection into these characters but that didn't stop me from having a good time.

I read this in two sittings and it was a entertaining enough way to spend a couple of hours. Would certainly recommend to anyone who reads the premise and thinks it sounds good!

This story takes you on an adventure with two contract killers—one living and one undead—as they tackle a new case. The banter between them is excellent, and the author and narrator both do a great job of making you love the pair. I'm normally a big novella/short story fan, but this storyline felt a bit rushed. While I loved the concept and vision, I wanted more backstory on both main characters and a more extended contract.
