DNF! In the first chapter the words ‘hunk’, ‘buns’, ‘stud’ and ‘scrumptious’ were used to describe the male lead… I can’t. I’m out!

This is the last time I let my husband talk me into audiobook russian roulette!

Update: I wasn’t going to rate this because I thought it must be written in 1985, but since it’s written in 2017, I’m one starring this with no regrets.

Updated update: it was originally released in 1996, but updated and rereleased in 2017, because the update included the words above, the rating stands….NOPE!

Here is the thing, I really liked the premise of this book. It had such great potential but SPOILER it does a big bait and switch on you!
Spoiler I don't read books that involve pregnancy, babies, kids, etc. They are just kinda icky to me and aren't my thing. And that ended up being a pretty big deal in this book. It started out great and could have ended great if it wasn't for the whole baby thing...

Could have been cute, could have been sweet.. I just found the heroine to be utterly cold and I couldn't relate to her at all.
