Intriguing and thought-provoking. I learned a LOT about Australian Aboriginal culture.

I really appreciated Tyson Yunkaporta's approach with this book. He remains humble and centers his "yarns" in each chapter. The book has a neat approach in regards to yarns, making, storytelling, and embodiment of the wisdoms explored. There is a very solid humility about Yunkaporta's writing as well. It'll take me some time to fully appreciate what's in the book, which I will likely be doing with other readers.

Some interesting perspectives in this book, but a lot of question marks too... Changed my review from 4 to 3 stars because of further reading on how he (mis)represents violence in pre-colonial Australia and the role of gender and violence in indigenous communities now.
