It was pretty good, though it didn’t work quite as well for me as some of her more famous mysteries. I think the thing that bothered me about it was that Miss Marple wasn’t present when some important clues were revealed, making it more difficult to believe that she could have arrived at the correct solution to the mystery the way that she did.

It wasn’t until last year that I finally had managed to read my first Agatha Christie novel, Murder on the Orient Express. This is my third novel I read of hers and I’m yet to be disappointed. Despite being apart of the Miss Marple series, Miss Marple rarely appears. She shows up every now and again to gather information about possible suspects. So this is probably not the best example of Miss Marple at work. Of course anything, as I’ve begun to learn, by Agatha Christie is going to be very surprising at the end no matter how many times you guess who committed the murder.
