Espionage and the beginnings of WWI were the focus of this entry over the typical archaeological exploits, but this was one of the stronger entries in the series in my personal opinion. The Emerson family never disappoints.

She is slowly redeeming herself... But it wasn't the most original way of resolving that particular problem. And will someone puh-lease explain how "Cyrus Vandergelt" from Snake/Crocodile/Dog is not gone?????

This has a little bit more bad language than the others it seems, but it's one of my favorites so far.

Closely paired with Lord of the Silent. These volumes of the Peabody series cover World War I.

I cannot in all honestly recommend these books but I do enjoy these easy read with Egypt and archeology as the background to the plots. No new surprises but delivers what I was looking for.

I think this might be my favorite of the series. More of a spy, political thriller than a mystery based in the archeological backdrop of 1920s Egypt, it's fast paced, funny, and made me cry. Plus, Rosenblatt's narration and performance (in anything) is always a favorite comfort listen of mine.

The best of the series (so far! But this covered a LOT of major character arcs)
