This was originally a 4-star for me because I felt the writing style was too simple at times with a lot of repetitive word choices. HOWEVER, the epilogue made it a 5, I’m glad they get their HEA, I was tearing up and beaming by the end. I really fell in love with these characters together and every time Ka’Cit called Nia ta’ii, I melteddddd. It’s rare for me to want to reread books, but this is one of them! Lowkey would’ve love to see more of Nia & Ka’Cit’s badass, space smuggling adventures, but I’ll settle for domestic life. These characters will be on my mind for a min and I may even read the Restitution series!
Moderate: Violence and Sexual harassment

I love Ka'Cit and Nia! This book was SO GOOD. This is now one of my top favorite alien romances.
Ka'Cit is the perfect cinnamon roll who feels he doesn't deserve a mate. Nia is a Black woman who can kick ass.
The adventure they go on was exciting, and I couldn't put it down.
My main complaint was that the two didn't communicate their feelings sooner, but of course, it all works out in the end.
