My favorite from the series, actually this might be my favorite from this world that Wilde has created.

It had a great romantic story line and at the same time had great action scenes. It was so well balanced with adventure and romance. I really enjoyed both of the leads, they were well matched. I'm kind of sad that I'm done with this series, but I'm looking forward to continuing in this world with The Restitution duology.

***** 5 stars, Amazing read*****

I liked this as equally as the last in the series and feel pretty much the same about it. I enjoyed these books!

I quite liked Ka’Cit as a MC with his dichotomy of badassness and abysmal self-esteem. Nia was also interesting; friendly, confident in her skills, and low on communication skills. I thought the fast burn aspect was an odd choice for a character as traumatized as he was and it kind of took me out of the story.

Spice: 3/5

Triggers: kidnapping, captivity, murder, violence, gore, discussion of child abandonment, claustrophobia, threat of SA, sexual harassment, trafficking, infertility

I adore the way this ended!

Scarred hero but reverse. In this alien culture, having smooth skin depicts one will not be able to settle down and they will never have a mate.

I enjoyed this series very much. They are all standalones. So you don’t have to read them in order. (I always suggest reading in chronological order if you’re a chronological whore as I).

This was originally a 4-star for me because I felt the writing style was too simple at times with a lot of repetitive word choices. HOWEVER, the epilogue made it a 5, I’m glad they get their HEA, I was tearing up and beaming by the end. I really fell in love with these characters together and every time Ka’Cit called Nia ta’ii, I melteddddd. It’s rare for me to want to reread books, but this is one of them! Lowkey would’ve love to see more of Nia & Ka’Cit’s badass, space smuggling adventures, but I’ll settle for domestic life. These characters will be on my mind for a min and I may even read the Restitution series!
