Children of the Corn might be Stephen King’s most famous short story and it is certainly a good one. I am a big fan of the campy 1984 film adaptation, though the two aren’t exactly the same. The story is creepier than the film and relies more on the supernatural and demonic, making it far more brutal.

A new hyper-fixation emerges. Easily the best horror story I’ve ever read, and a fantastic introduction to Stephen King! My stomach was churning the entire time and it was such an intense and fast paced read. I’m a sucker for a thriller/horror that has anything to do with a long drive or corn fields. Sign! Me! Up!
