- [ ] Good
- [ ] Thrilling
- [ ] Intense
- [ ] Love that it’s set in Dorset where I grew up with countless memories of going to Corfe eating at the Greyhound and also when older helping in the tea rooms and visitor centre.
- [ ] I found the use of archaeology interesting
- [ ] I wasn’t convinced by the characters at times it felt forced and the plot became a bit meandering and slow.
- [ ] Due to the pdf version I had to read this story, there were certain sentences at the beginning of chapters which were missing that really took me away from the story.
- [ ] It’s definitely a good crime novel and one that a lot of people will enjoy.

I do love a crime book that enriches the characters as well as provides the plot. Ideas of what happened beforehand and what could happen next really help build the scene and personalities

I really enjoyed this! It gripped me from the start, and didn't let go. I ended up finishing it in a couple of hours! Interesting characters, good story line, suspense, intrigue, just everything I like in a book. I would definitely read more in this series and from this author.

This is the first book I have read by this author and the mystery kept me guessing until the end. As some others have said the male characters aren't really very positive role models. Either sexist, old fashioned or much worse. The story did end quite abruptly with no explanation as to how they went about it or their thinking. Would have preferred a bit more to the ending but still enjoyed it overall.
