Another book I pulled off a friend's bookshelf. It's a collection of articles by famous style experts on various topics. The articles are short, and probably suitable for magazine publication, but were interesting in the depth and breadth of them - how to buy pearls was one, how to pluck eyebrows, or how to buy a hat. Certainly not essential for me, but I found it an interesting enough to read pretty much the whole (slim) volume.

(And it convinced me I need a more grown-up bag than a backpack for work.)

This book has archaic views on beauty standards and gender norms that makes me angry. The information is well curated, but this book just isn’t for me. Also, jelwery sellers can be male.
