Sweet and funny story. Short enough for a 2-day read aloud.

Cute little Thanksgiving children’s story. Sweet family dynamics and even some colonial recipes to try are included.

A short story, to remember why I liked Little Women so much.
Una storia breve, che ho usato per ricordarmi come mai amavo tanto Piccole donne.

Not much to it and a little “back when children knew how to behave and do hard work” kinda preachy. But Thanksgiving-y, which is hard to find. (Probably — definitely — wouldn’t have read it without The Literary Book Club presents to go with it. But with those, it was fun enough.)

Adorable, CHARMING little story about New England farm children in mid 19th centry trying to whip up a delicious Thanksgiving feast to surprise their parents, who had to attend to a sick grandma but were expected back for that night. The kids are in for a suprise of their own. Awwww.

An old-fashioned Thanksgiving by Louisa May Alcott
Start starts out with the six siblings and how they are able to save the day for Thanksgiving.
The parents had to leave to help a neighbor and they all pitch in-interesting that they have been paying attention all the years prior
and are able to pull it off. The others doubt they can do it, the two oldest ones.
Younger children go sledding and they hope to have it all done by the time their parents arrive home.
They put the spices in and although they smell a bit different it should be good.
Includes a recipe at the end.
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).
