Such an adorable addition to the first book in the series, which I also loved!

I thought Meredith's character was a little caricature-y, she didn't really have a concrete personality, however, she wasn't a main character so it's understandable.

Astrid's story was way different from Claire and Delilah's! The pacing was difference and the focus was way more on the main couple. The "coven" as they are called (which is so adorable) were much more side characters than they were in #1, so I definitely think reading these books in order is a must so you can see the friendships in the coven. The first book did a really good job of building those relationships, whereas this book just shows you that yes, they are still friends.

I loved the interior design aspect of this book, too; hearing about the inn coming together and all its renovations, while a tiny bit confusing, was beautiful. I also think this portion could've taken a chapter from a fantasy book and included sketches! That would have been a very nice touch! I do wish I'd gotten to know Simon and especially Pru a bit more, it would've made Jordan a much more fleshed-out character. In the end she sort of started to feel a bit side-y.

On the whole, this book was lovely and I can't wait to read the third (which is sitting in a newly-arrived Amazon package on my front step as we speak)!!

I had fun reading this book. It was cute and I did like it. I thought Astrid and Jordan were cute together. I didn't like it as much as the first one book.

super cute storyline. it was nice to see this different side of astrid and her finding herself. relatable for bisexual girlies who didn’t realize they were queer.

i think i'm still partial to delilah green but this was still a great book and i love the way the author writers romance

I JUST LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH.
Not only is it my first 5 ⭐ rom-com but it is also my first 5 ⭐ adult queer romance.
I laughed, I giggled and I cried numerous times.
I would do anything for Astrid and Jordan, as individuals or a couple 🥺
Astrid healed my mommy issued ass so much.
I didn't think Jordan was my type by the cover but I have seen fan casts and now I'm obsessed with soft butches 😍😍
Also the spice was 🤌🏻🔥🔥

I thought that the characters had good chemistry, the plot was well-paced, I already knew that I liked the writing style, and the individual arcs of both Astrid and Jordan with their families were well-executed. I was not totally in love with Astrid discovering her sexuality (I get the repression of it all because of misogyny and her overbearing mother's expectations, but it is more of a preference thing). The whole external conflict between Jordan and Astrid wasn't my favorite either (
the sabotage and lying involved with the renovation project made me stressed out and uncomfortable
). The emotional beats definitely hit, but it didn't feel quite grounded enough for me. I like Astrid as a main character (both of the two are incredibly interesting individually and as a couple), and I like that they both had individual struggles outside of their relationship that they dealt with in the book (a big plus for me). This just didn't have that spark I felt when reading the first book. It's a good book, and done in a realistic way, but not a favorite (definitely rereadable, though).
