The pick up lines sucked. I also can't tell if they were flirting or not. The man also had STARWARS sheets which i don't like Star wars. The pick up line with the spicey currey sucked so bad.
I don't remember anything from this book. The mfc needs flirting lessons so bad.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

In this book, we are introduced to Holly Banks, who is now a recluse. She is existing on her own, away from family trying to escape from her traumatic past. A past that will not let her go. In a twist of fate, she meets Alexander Harris and starts living again.

Behind Two Scenes was a lovely short read, that will take you on a journey. We are given snapshots of the main characters previous lives, particularly Holly's. We are swept away by their easy banter and how perfect they are together. Both Alexander and Holly are aware of their baggage and they make a conscious effort to work on themselves. Their mental health was not shoved to the side or ignored by the author, which I appreciated. I believe mental health is important and should be addressed openly.

Behind Two Screens had all my favourite elements: heartfelt moments, steam with a side of dark and twisty (thank you Grey's Anatomy). I'll definitely be looking out for more books from Selena Michaels.
dark emotional hopeful inspiring sad tense fast-paced

Behind Two Screens is an adult romance book like no other. While there are steamy scenes present within, the character and plot development are also superbly done allowing you to pause and truly appreciate and feel for each character. The book is a short and fast read however Selena manages to capture all themes perfectly in that time. Please be aware of some warnings present such as relationship and domestic abuse, suicide, attempted murder and stalking. I cannot wait to see what new things she comes up with!
