This episode of The Princess in Black series introduces young children to a shambling, insatiable Lovecraftian horror. Impressionable minds will enjoy being reduced to gibbering madness by the unending hordes of mindless eating machines contained within. Ia! Ia! Cthulhu Fhtagn!

I just love these chapter books! The bunny horde is the best challenge the Princess in Black has had to face yet. The illustrations are adorable.

Enjoyed reading this with my niece who loves these books. Even before we read it, some of the illustrations of the bunny horde tickled her funny bone.

My niece loves the series. I liked the first two much better than this one but I think my 7 year-old niece will love it.

I wonder if Shannon Hale is a Buffy fan. I certainly thought fondly of Anya when imagining ominous bunnies.

I think I loved this one more than book 2. It had Princess Sneezewort making a small appearance and it had the Goat Boy and a scary cuteness factor.
