The monsters in this book are more monstrous than any of the others in the first four books of this series.

The daring princess in black returns to defend her beloved goats from...bunnies? Though they speak "the language of cuteness," they are more threatening than they first appear. Cute & comical, great for beginning readers or to read aloud.

We love this series. This one added Goat avenger, which is fun. For some reason, this one didn't strike me like the others have. Still a great early chapter book.

An early chapter book with pictures and a hero who is a princess that would rather be fighting monsters than sitting around doing nothing in pink. This is the third in the series but the first that didn't feel like such a tug of war to get the PIB to the site of the conflict and away from the castle so she has more time to get the monster back into the hole. But this time does she even see the monster until things get scarier than I thought they would in a PIB book. My daughter had nightmares the night she read this book out loud with me and she says they weren't about the content of the book, but I wonder if there was some influence. I didn't think I would have to pre-read these books after reading the first two before my daughter saw them, but I missed this one and now I'll be scanning the others first just in case there are more surprises.

Adorable and fun. Also, rabbits really are monsters, so I thought the whole thing was surprisingly realistic.
