I really enjoyed this story! It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention the entire time. I enjoyed getting to see Finley again (met him in prior books in the Iniquus world) and seeing him find somebody. He made some mistakes the last time he was with someone and it was interesting to get to know him better and see him redeem himself from that. It is not needed to have read the prior books in order to fully enjoy this one. I also enjoyed Anna and the way that she handled herself and all the curve balls that are thrown at her. Steve Finley and Anna are thrown together without having the full story and are forced to work together in order to survive. Anna is undercover and has been arrested and Finley is working transport when they end up in a large snowstorm and off the road with people after them. This is definitely a book where actions speak louder than words as neither knows if they can really trust the other person or not and not able to share full details so they build trust by the actions and looking at how the other one is acting and what they are doing. I enjoyed this one for sure. It had quite a few twists and turns and was well done.
The narrator did a good job with the story and characters and bringing it to life.

This book was good but it deserved a better ending. Wasn’t long enough
