1.5 Short review with some spoilers.
I have never read a book that I didn't want a happy ending for any of the characters until this one. Since this is a short review let me tell you the main problem with these characters NONE of them should be in a relationship.

Rose- Is supposedly "in love" with her best friend Tyler the player. She's waiting for Tyler to quit his player ways and notice her, she gets upset at the fact that Tyler 'The Player' hasn't cheated on his girlfriend Georgiana once until he does with her. I didn't think that she loved Tyler at all she never comes out an tells him that she wants a relationship with him and wants him to quit his player ways.

Tyler- I gotta say for a guy who is suppose to be player who has string girls along and kicked them to curb when he know longer wants them he sure is weak. He doesn't want to be with Georgiana but wants to be with Rose but never has the balls to actually pull the trigger and break up with her. He's sudden turn of hearts about wanting to be in a committee relationship with Rose would have been believable if he actually ended the relationship with Georgiana instead of promising to.

Georgina- She is an insufferable witch who is desperate to hold on to Tyler she goes to the soap opera lengths to do it. Clearly she has never heard the saying if you to go to extreme lengths to keep him he isn't worth it. There was so many times throughout the book I wanted to slapped her and tell her to grow the hell up but then again I wanted to slapped all four many characters.

Ethan- I tried like him but like the other three characters I just found nothing likable about him. He's way to possessive and on one hand I get he got burned by his ex and his best friend but he was insufferable just like his sister.

All four characters needed to try celibacy and figure out what and who they wanted to be with and stop all the bed hopping and whining.

"Let's Be Just Friends" was a quick and enjoyable read, if potentially forgettable. It was well-written but I just couldn't find myself a fan of ANY of the characters, though I wanted to. All were somewhere in the manipulative spectrum. Events also seemed to fly by.

All that said, I appreciate that the ending wasn't super-predictable and that even though this is the first in a series, it works well as a stand-alone. This bumped it from 2 to 3 stars for me, and paradoxically, it did make me want to pick up the sequel to see if the characters get any more interesting or complex.

I received a copy of this story from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Unfortunately, this was not for me. I do not like stories that cheating is excused or "justified" I also felt the story was very rushed, characters were underdeveloped, and the plot was cookie cutter. Overall, I was disappointed which is why I did not read all four stories in this box set.

DNF. This book is terrible. The writing is so bad I eye-rolled at everything. I only got to 27% and gave up and skipped to the end and wtf. What a strange book. I won’t be reading the chapters I skipped. Goodness.

I didn’t like any of the characters, especially the Rose and Tyler. She was stupid and he was an a-hole.

2.75 stars? 3 stars? 2.834 stars?? Conflicted.

Hated most of the characters. Hated the fact that cheating was just so easy and normal, and that marriage was seen as 'the right thing to do' and not something you do out of love.

BUT, it was a quick read, a pleasantly nice read, and drew me in with all the drama and ups and downs. Nothing Amazing, nothing boring.

I'm super on the fence about this one. Actually I'm giving this a 3.5 stars because I liked it and hated it simultaneously. I'm realllllly unhappy about the events near the end and hope in the next book things change to how I was expecting. I feel attached to the characters though, although they are all a bit naive generally. I wish the characters had a bit more something. I feel like there is something missing but I will read the next book in hopes of the story twisting to how I think it should end.

I am conflicted about this book. It was a roller-coaster of events and super fast-paced. It was a nice pallet cleanser book.

It has heavy cheating, so that really throws me off.

The book is not a clean-cut friends to lovers story but rather a story of 4 characters having to deal with the consequences of their choices on their journey to finding "love."

Spice: 0, only kissing and fade to black.
Language: 1, rare
