It's easy to root for Parvana and Leila, less so for Asif. But also people with trauma are sometimes difficult to care for, so it makes sense. Another I couldn't put down.

This is the 2nd of the Breadwinner series and continues the story of Parvana. Now Parvana is alone and searching for her family. As she travels she meets and takes in other children. This little band forms a family of sorts and is able to assist each other survive.
This may be a children's story but covers the hardness of war and survival. Children may need to debrief after reading this.
Can't wait to read the next in this series.

I thought is was a great story, and it certainly had a lot of cliffhangers that made me want to read on. I can't wait to read Mud City to find out what happens next.
