Oh my GOD. Okay let’s get into it.

I’ll say it: Lilly is actually right in this book. Harsh, but right. I really enjoyed seeing Mia get herself into a situation where her being a princess couldn’t fix everything. But I also DIDN'T like it because (oh no) I actually felt something.

The part where she calls her dad, sobbing, asking “was it mom?” had me in actual tears.

I’m having a hard time putting what I’m thinking into words, but reading these books has made me think more about my own teenage years. There is still so much you don’t know, but you feel like you have to know it all. And you feel everything. DEEPLY. And everything is NEW and there are the things you should do and the things that everybody else is doing. Meg Cabot does such a good job creating that feeling in this story and with these characters.

But Mia please never say “my precious gift” again for the love of god

it seems characteristic of Mia to finally make a blunder like this with Michael. It just makes sense.

Mia: (matter-of-family) I've been working as a highly trained demon-killer for the Vatican for years,Dad. Didn't you know?
Prince Phillipe: I didn't know. I was wrong about you,Mia.You're not just a princess.
Mia: No,Dad. No I'm not.

Mia,while this is highly imaginative,in no way does it satisfy the assignment, which was to describe a beloved pet.

Hilarious. So much at stake in "Princess on the Brink!" I love Tina's voice in this installment. She makes me laugh with her romantic advice. She really is a good friend. She is a treasure. All the characters are so smart! I wish I was that thoughtful of world events in high school. So glad to see Prince Phillipe back!!! What will happen in book nine?!!!
