Endearing Retelling

This was such an endearing and innovative retelling of Pride and Prejudice! It has instantly jumped up to the top of my list of Pride and Prejudice iterations. If you love, Austen you'll find a lot to love in this book and if you don't, it still a great romance. And the food! I was so hungry reading this book. Highly recommend

I liked this book much better than I thought I would. While Trisha is not my favorite character, I liked the similarities to the “namesake” book and the cleaver way it diverged. Good beach read!

DNF. you couldn’t convince me that an editor had been within a mile of this book.

I enjoyed this book, but it didn't stick with me.

I really enjoyed this retelling. I loved how it was a complete role reversal with Tricia as the Mr. Darcy and DJ as the Elizabeth. It was very well done with minimum steam… that may have been the only disappointment of the book. More steaminess next time!!! If you enjoy P&P, I highly recommend!

Highly recommend this adaption of Pride and Prejudice. Took aspects of the original and twisted them to create this truly wonderful adaption

This was a cute read and definitely captured the essence of P&P without being a direct or unimaginative copy. I lol'd at the Wickham in this story being a white woman with dreads. The romance is an incredibly slow burn, which, while true to the story it's inspired by, is why I've rated it lower because I really prefer something with a bit more steam and spice.

And I say all this.. but when I just looked up this book here to mark it as read and discovered it's a series, I immediately decided I would probably read the rest looool

Do recommend if you enjoy enemies to lovers, slow burns, frustrating family dynamics, and drama arising from extensive assumptions and poor communication.
