Prefer a more narrative audiobook rather than short snippets. I'm less patient with audiobooks than written books. Was in the mood for something lighter and more fun.

Travel book that's a cross between the michelin guide, and any equivalent for drinks, Atlas Obscura, and Man's Guide! Anthony Bourdain died before this book could become a reality so his editor dug out his words from print or footage and spliced them all together with more traditional travel information. His writing/speaking style is borderline crude - disguised as frank and honest. Sometimes it rings true for me, other times it's a bit off-putting. He Drank. A Lot. And had a fluid (mostly) past interest in drug of all types. This came out in Kitchen Confidential but I knew by limits and didn't read that one. I came to know him from his "bio" on Typhoid Mary and his travel shows. His voice is missed but be prepared for it.

Yeah this was pretty good. But I think I should read some actual Anthony bourdain. I’ll say it! I didn’t read any of the hotel stuff. I don’t care about hotels yet

It was a compilation of every spot Bourdain traveled to. It will be good for a world traveler/Bourdain fan who’d like to visit where he was. It reads like a Lonely Planet book, fitted with Bourdain’s quotes which don’t ever really get old. There were essays from various people he knew, which added wonderful insight into who Bourdain really was and it just made me miss him even more.

Great for planning travel and dining options worldwide. Good to hear Tony stories.

This book is what it is because of Bourdain's death. It's not that I didn't enjoy reading it. I did. It's that Bourdain's contributions are from his shows. He died before the book really came to be written. That being said, it is a touch of Bourdain for those who miss him.
