I love every book I've read by the fabulous Ella Griffiths. This is the first book in a series and I've already begun reading the next one not five minutes after I finished this book. Exciting characters, interesting plot and plenty of clues to keep you guessing.

A very enjoyable start to a new series with interesting characters and plot lines.

I recently "binge Read" the Ruth Galloway series by the same author and loved them all. The main character, Dr Ruth Galloway, is a wonderfully witty realistic character who is very engaging. Unfortunately, in this standalone novel, the opposite is true. None of the characters stand out and the plot is thinner than a bald mans hairline. Oh well, on the bright side their is a new Ruth Galloway due.

I love the Ruth Galloway series by the same author, but I'm sad to say, I could only get about halfway through this book. It just didn't hold my attention--I think one reason is that the cast of characters seemed uninteresting and virtually interchangeable. Maybe it was just me. Will look forward to the next Ruth Galloway mystery, though. :)
